"The aunt cries uncle"

Films: Night Warning (1982)

Alias: None

Type: Natural

Location: Haunted home

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: It isn't always the mom who's the coddling psycho who messes up the man's social life in horror movies. There's always a crazy one in every family, after all.

History: Cheryl Roberts had only her nephew, Billy, as company. Having raised him since his parents untimely death by car accident, she's developed an overprotectiveness of him, and it's even implied that SHE might be the real mother. But aside from that, Cheryl isn't going to let Billy go so easily, even if it means ruining his life and killing an increasing number of suspicious people.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: Eventually, Billy stands up to his crazy mom/aunt, and by the end of it all, Cheryl is run through by a hot poker, killing her.

Powers/Abilities: None

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 3-As a smothering family member, she's pretty standard. Also, it apparently wasn't enough to drive her son to madness, so she's a bit weaker than most. She can still kill you, though, so watch out.

Trivia: -This was one of the earliest roles of big-name actor Bill Paxton. He played a random basketball bully in this one.

-Many claim that this is a modern allegory for the myth of Oedipus. What they forget is that Oedipus was the one infatuated with his mom, and Billy most certainly was not.
